Graduated from the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova in 2010, specializing in Finance and Banking. In 2011, joined the team of BC "ProCredit Bank" SA, following the successful completion of the young specialists' program. In 2019, graduated from the ProCredit Management Academy in Fürth, Germany.

Began his career as a Medium Enterprise Credit Expert. In 2013, became a Credit Analyst for Large Enterprises, which allowed him to acquire and consolidate his knowledge in the field of credit risk management. In 2017, continued his professional 
development as a Senior Specialist within the Credit Risk Department. Demonstrating managerial skills, was appointed Head of the Credit Risk Department in the same year.

In November 2021, Andrei Taracanov was approved for the position of Deputy Chairperson of the Management Board of BC "ProCredit Bank" SA.
