Permitted activities of ProCredit Bank branches and agencies
ProCredit Bank carries out its activities in accordance with the legislation in force and based on the licenses issued by the competent authorities. Below are the lists of activities permitted for branches and agencies:
List of activities permitted for branches
1.Attracting deposits and other repayable funds;
2.Granting loans, including: consumer loans, credit agreements related to immovable property, factoring with or without recourse, financing of commercial transactions (including forfaiting);
3.Financial leasing;
4.Provision of payment services, in accordance with Law No. 114/2012 on payment services and electronic money;
5.Issuance and administration of traveller’s cheques, bills of exchange and other payment instruments, insofar as such activity does not fall under letter d);
6.Issuance of guarantees and assumption of commitments;
7.Transactions on own account or on behalf of clients with the following instruments: money market instruments (cheques, commercial paper, certificates of deposit, etc.); foreign currency; futures and options contracts on financial instruments; instruments based on exchange rates and interest rates; securities and other financial instruments;
8.Participation in the issuance of securities and other financial instruments and provision of services related to such issuances;
9.Consultancy provided to legal entities regarding share capital structure, business strategy and other aspects related to commercial activity, as well as consultancy and services related to mergers and acquisitions of legal entities;
10.Money brokerage (intermediation on interbank markets);
11.Portfolio management and related consultancy;
12.Custody and administration of financial instruments;
13.Credit information services;
14.Safe deposit box services;
15.Issuance of electronic money, in accordance with Law No. 114/2012 on payment services and electronic money;
16.Provision of bancassurance agent services.
List of activities permitted for agencies
1.Attracting deposits and other repayable funds, based on contracts concluded and/or managed by the branch, as well as receiving and processing documents and data related to the opening, modification or closing of deposit accounts;
2.Provision of collection services, based on contracts concluded and/or managed by the branch;
3.Foreign exchange operations, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 62/2008 on foreign exchange regulation;
4.Provision of services related to credit transfers: receiving and processing payment documents, collection of cash when the client does not have a bank account, and transmission of all data for execution to the branch or the bank’s head office;
5.Direct debit administration operations: receiving and processing payment documents and transmitting all data for execution to the branch or the bank’s head office, based on contracts concluded and/or managed by the branch;
6.Operations for servicing bank cardholders, including through POS terminals installed at the agency’s premises: cash withdrawal, cash deposits, enabling card payments, receiving and processing documents and data related to the opening of card accounts, card issuance, etc.;
7.Provision of money remittance services, based on contracts concluded and/or managed by the bank with money remittance systems;
8.Provision of consultancy services stipulated in the license issued to the bank;
9.Operations for receiving, processing and issuing documents and information necessary for granting and monitoring loans, carrying out actions for loan repayment (recovery) and other bank claims, as well as performing other customer-related operations;
10.Provision of bancassurance agent services, based on contracts concluded and/or managed by the branch.
